πΎ Meet Holly: A Remarkable Presence in Auckland's Courts!
In the heart of Auckland's Waitakere Courts, there's a unique presence making a meaningful difference – Holly, the Mobility Dog. Paired with her dedicated handler, Karen, Holly's role in the courtroom is nothing short of extraordinary. Her mission? To provide comfort and support in what can often be a tense and intimidating environment.
Victims often find immeasurable strength and comfort in Holly's presence. One individual shared how they felt before being required to give evidence, "When I met Holly and cuddled her, I knew I could do it then." Holly's calming effect is undeniable, and she's often considered the highlight of the day for many in the courtroom. Even the judge recognises her contribution, acknowledging her as an additional source of support.

I've been told I'm confident, loyal, and playful. I'm also a confident wee explorer who's always curious about the world around me. I adore people, especially my friends at school. I seem to have this uncanny ability to sense who might need some "Oskar" time, and so I'll curl up at their feet to offer some much-needed comfort. |

So, how would I describe myself in three words? Playful, loyal, and smart, of course! But there's so much more to me than that. I'm a confident little fella; nothing fazes me. I'll happily stroll up to anyone and say hello, even if they're total strangers. I'm sweet as honey, and my empathetic side shines when I'm with my favourite humans. You can say I'm a real heart-melter! |
