Hi Friend,

As we step into 2024, we are excited for the remarkable opportunities that lie ahead this year, enabling us to create positive change in the lives of individuals and communities.

In this newsletter, we are thrilled to share the inspiring story of Milo an extraordinary dog heading into his new role as a Therapy Dog at an Auckland school.  We also take a look at how we have upgraded our training space thanks to the generous grant we received from National Mini Storage last year.

Your contributions and ongoing commitment allow us to expand our programmes, reach more New Zealanders in need, and nurture the transformative connection between our amazing dogs and their human partners. Together, we are building a future that is inclusive and compassionate, where individuals can overcome challenges and embrace their full potential.

As the year progresses we look forward to sharing more stories and celebrating the achievements made possible by your generosity.

Milo - A dog with a very important job!

Meet Milo, the extraordinary Therapy Dog breaking barriers as the first-ever Mobility Dog placed in a school. Milo's groundbreaking role at Waikowhai Intermediate School is set to help create a nurturing environment where students feel even more supported, empowered, and excited about their educational journey.

Research shows the incredible benefits of Therapy Dogs in schools, and the plan is for Milo to help with three key areas including anxiety around reading, as well as to help inspire resilience and academic success. Don't miss out on reading about Milo's incredible role in this transformative initiative!

Community support transforms training space

Thanks to the grant money received from National Mini Storage, we have taken a significant step towards creating an inclusive and fun training area that inspires both dogs and people. Every upgrade represents a build towards greater training safety and effectiveness, ensuring our dogs provide the best service possible for our community.
