MOTL2024 Program

We are extremely excited to advise that despite all the challenges of conducting a journey of this nature especially this year, we will embark on our 'going where history books can't' journey of memory, respect, learning, honouring, solidarity, and commitment to making this world a better place, with an incredible group of approximately 35 people.

Once again diversity and inclusivity is at the heart of our March of the Living Australia experience and not only will we joined by 2 survivors, we will have a delegation with the largest proportion of Queensland participants ever; the largest number of high school Holocaust educator participants ever; and the greatest proportion of participants from the wider community ever.

We look forward to keeping everyone informed about the unique and special elements that will be incorporated into this year's program especially in light of the commemoration of 80 years since the commencement of attempts to destroy Hungarian Jewry in 1944 as well of course in light of the ongoing conflict since the events of October 7th 2023.

We are thrilled to resume our ongoing involvement in furthering our education and knowledge about the two cornerstones of our March of the Living Australia DNA – Holocaust, Israel and everything in between. And we will kick off by welcoming you to join us in our upcoming event.

Project Rozana - A ray of light and hope from amidst the gloom and darkness

An online event - Sunday 17 March, 7:30PM

A presentation and discussion with Mohammad Asideh about the goals and activities of Project Rozana, yet another wonderful example of cross-border initiatives that will hopefully lay the foundation for much broader and deeper cooperation and ultimately peace in the Middle East.

Mohammad Asideh is the Executive Director of Rozana Palestine having just spent over two years with Project Rozana in Australia. Previously, he worked as the OneVoice Movement's Regional Director in Washington D.C. and later served as the Elections Campaign Manager for former Palestinian PM Salam Fayyad. Mohammad holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the NUS-Singapore and SciencesPo-Paris.

"Rootless Cosmopolitans" at Chapel off Chapel - May 2024

In the face of a frightening resurgence of antisemitism, especially in the Australia's Arts Community, it's imperative we encourage Jewish artists to speak up. Let's stand behind our Jewish artists and get together for a laugh at this new black comedy about being Jewish in Australia: Rootless Cosmopolitans.

Tickets go on sale for the Chapel off Chapel, Melbourne season on February 28th.
