Hello Co-ordinators and  Committee members,

Thank you all for your support, enthusiasm and patience since your new Board was appointed in December 2021. We have been working hard behind the scenes reducing our expenses to make sure DAA is on a stable financial footing for the future, and implementing new systems to make jobs like this one – the annual membership renewal – quicker and easier for everyone. There is a lot of information contained in this email – please take the time to read and understand our new processes and let me know if you  have any questions.

As you know we are now using RevSport for our membership data base, which has bought us in line with AusDBF and the state bodies around Australia. This has streamlined operations, and we are no longer reliant on updating spreadsheets. We have distributed the attached PowerPoint to all members explaining how to renew memberships. I am sure you will get a lot of questions, so let me elaborate for you.

'How To' Guide for
renewing on Rev Sport

All members will need to renew via RevSport – but NOT PAY. This allows each Member Group to still collect fees and remit them directly to DAA in one go – reducing the extra fees for individuals. The members will have from 27/9/2022 to 15/10/2022 to renew. Any members joining after this date will need to pay online, attracting a transaction fee.

Beginning the 16/10/2022 DAA will send invoices to each Member Group – one for the Group Fee (now $220 inc GST) and one for the number of members who have renewed online via RevSport (set at $25). Each Member Group will have 30 days to transfer the funds to DAA. We have been able to reduce fees due to a substantial reduction of the running costs for the organisation.

Remember to check all data on RevSport (phone number, email) and amend if they have changed. We are only as good as the data we have on hand.

As you have your AGM and update committee members, it is vital that the Membership Group Committee Update Form below is filled in so we can update our records to ensure your leadership committee are able to join the Coordinator Facebook group and the correct people are receiving all the information they need. We refer to the leadership committee of each group (Co-ordinator, Secretary, Treasurer, etc.) as our Sister Group. Please take the time to send us this information, and thank you to those who already have.
